Primero, al comprobar que Trump ganaba en Carolina del Norte y Georgia, y después recibiendo otro duro golpe en Pensilvania.
“Es una victoria política que nuestro país nunca ha visto antes. Nada ni nunca ha habido igual a esto. Ahora vamos a sanar nuestro país”, ha dicho un Trump eufórico en su primer discurso tras la jornada electoral, en el que se ha proclamado ganador y ha prometido “arreglar todo” para “hacer América grande otra vez”.
Acompañado de su familia y de su candidato a la Vicepresidencia, J.D. Vance, ha celebrado su triunfo como la expresión de su movimiento MAGA (Make America Great Again). El candidato republicano ha asegurado el país “necesita ayuda” y ha dado las gracias a los estadounidenses por elegirle como nuevo presidente. “Hemos sorteado obstáculos que nadie pensaba que podíamos sortear, quiero agradecer al pueblo estadounidense por el extraordinario honor de ser elegido su presidente”, ha dicho, a lo que ha añadido que la jornada ha sido una “locura”.
“Mucha gente me ha dicho que Dios me ha mantenido con vida por una razón y esa razón es salvar a nuestro país“, ha comentado, refiriéndose al ataque que sufrió el pasado mes de julio precisamente en un mitin en Pensilvania, donde resultó herido de un tiroteo dirigido hacia su persona.
