Hechos Meridiano Baja California inicia una nueva etapa con la incorporación de su nuevo conductor, Jorge Fregoso, periodista y comunicador de 53 años de edad, con más de 30 años de experiencia en televisión, radio y medios digitales.
El nuevo conductor cuenta con una sólida trayectoria en el ejercicio periodístico, destacándose como ganador de dos premios Emmy como parte del noticiero Univisión, además de una amplia experiencia en cobertura nacional e internacional de noticias, así como formación académica en periodismo de televisión.
A lo largo de su carrera, Jorge Fregoso ha participado como corresponsal para Univisión, así como reportero y conductor en Esquina 32, Milenio Radio y Síntesis TV. Asimismo, se desempeñó como corresponsal, productor y jefe de información en Telemundo 33, y fue jefe de información y reportero en TV Azteca Mexicali de 1998 a 2001.
A partir del 29 de diciembre, se integra para fortalecer la propuesta informativa del noticiario y reafirmando su compromiso de informar con veracidad, rigor periodístico y cercanía con la audiencia.
El noticiero se transmite de lunes a viernes a las 2:30 de la tarde, a través del canal 1 de Totalplay y el canal 1.1 de televisión abierta, consolidándose como un referente informativo del mediodía en el estado.
